The PLA Education Committee has multiple purposes which include both children and adults.

They have worked with students at Pentwater School K-12 and in Oceana County (including Homeschooled children) to sponsor various activities for the area including a Speech Contest, and a Poster Contest with required topics related to the health of the lake and environment. Pentwater School Green Club kids have helped the PLA with water testing and the annual Landing Blitz’s (3 sites).

The other goal is education of adults. The PLA has held informational workshops for local residents to attend to learn more about Pentwater Lake, aquatic invasive species and shoreline habitat.

Members of this committee include: Board members Rich Pugsley, and George Richey. PLA member AnnaMae Bush has also helped as needed especially including articles in the PLA Newsletter. The PLA Board discusses an annual project to focus on and Mary Ann makes it happen!
