The Publicity Committee chair is Pat Hooyman. He makes sure the PLA meetings are posted per our Bylaw guidelines of 10 days prior to the meeting date. This includes the Oceana-Herald Journal, Oceana Echo, both the newspapers and online formats, as well as the PLA Facebook site.

Other events requiring publicity, for example- the Homecoming Parade, the Annual Landing Blitz, our Annual Meeting and the Strawberry Shortcake Social are publicized in the quarterly PLA Newsletter and on the PLA Facebook site. They are also included on the “Calendar of Activities” section of this website.

Pat works with the chair of each event to make sure the public is informed of what is happening and when.
